Hello Missoula! Like you, I have loved massage ever since my very first touch. For me, that profound experience illuminated from my Aunt's healing hands on the carpet of my Grandparent's living room floor. From that moment, around age eight, I was hooked. Driven by this calling, I moved from home on the coast of Washington and attended Oregon State University to study PhysicalTherapy (PT). I earned my bachelor's of science in Exercise and Sports Science in 2010. Dabbling in pulling espresso and as a PT aide after college, I moved to Missoula,MT. Here in this serene place, I have ultimately made my home and FINALLY achieved a gratifying career in Massage Therapy.
The Massage Training Institute (Kalispell, MT) was just the place for integrating my knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology with massage therapy. This training is rooted in specific clinical applications of massage to relieve tension and pain in compromised musculature.
Along with my training in Swedish/Relaxation and Sports Massage, I certified in a specialized trigger point therapy called Neuromuscular Therapy. The treatment goal of this practice is to relieve acute and chronic pain related to nerve compression through specific massage therapy, flexibility stretching, and home care to bring about balance between the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
Having developed this passion for massage therapy from a very young age, I am elated to share with you WHY I do what I do. I LOVE the fusion of the physical science of the human body and the conscious healing process that takes place between me the therapist, and you the massage recipient. During your massage I can create positive structural change in your soft tissue and hear you body sing in reply!
So come interact, relax, and sing with me into a more fluid, balanced, and healthful YOU!
